Beth was celebrant at my sister’s funeral recently and I cannot praise her highly enough. In our initial meeting, a difficult time for us, Beth listened attentively to how we would like the service to be and helped us navigate our way through the procedures with great sympathy and understanding. As we chatted, Beth intuitively pieced together an accurate picture of our sister, sharing fond memories with everyone at the service as though Beth herself was one of the family. Our sister was renowned for always finding a positive in any negative situation… Beth took this on board and rather than a gloomy commemoration the funeral service became a celebration of our sister’s life. Beth invested time capturing the heart of us and writing it up for the ceremony. This is where Beth comes into her own - her exceptional skills of listening, writing, and ultimately the articulation and presentation of our love story during the ceremony. She cleverly weaved together the most beautiful narrative around how our paths crossed so many times before we properly met. We loved Beth’s tone in the ceremony; expertly weaving between seriousness, light humour, and clarity. You can hold a ceremony, but Beth holds the room. She commands your attention with a lightness of touch and gentle ease.

I wanted to engage with my hysterectomy as an opportunity for spiritual, physical and psychological healing and transformation. Beth created a ceremony which brought together the different elements of this in a powerful ritual of release and rebirth, which we did together in the beautiful setting of the Ashdown Forest. She brought such care, creativity and professionalism, and created a unique and beautiful ceremony with lots of special touches. I have been able to turn a very difficult life event into an experience that holds meaning for the rest of my life, and working with Beth has been a huge part of that. I would highly recommend her as a celebrant who creates magical ceremonies for any of life’s turning points, rites of passage, crises and joys.
